Vacancy for Two Councillors - Update 5 May 2021

There is an opportunity for 2 people to be co-opted to Prestbury Parish Council.

We would like to hear from individuals, who are keen to become involved in the first tier of local government and in enhancing this village.

Recent and ongoing projects have included the replacement of the toilet block with a free short stay car park, installing a defibrillator in the previous telephone box, planting and maintaining the walkway between Shirleys car park and the village, extending the path through Parrotts Field and making that area a more welcoming space.

It is essential that potential candidates are willing to actively become involved in the work of the Parish Council in addition to attending and contributing to Parish Council meetings once a month in the evening.

This is a voluntary role. Training will be provided.

For details of who is eligible to stand for co-option, please see

If you are interested please contact the Chairman Keith Podmore,

or the Vice Chairman Valerie Herbert ,
